Return Policy and Shipping

Every product we create is handcrafted with care and personalized just for your dog. Due to the custom nature of these products, all sales are final, and we do not accept returns or exchanges for custom-made items. Pre-made items including items purchased at markets are eligible for exchange within 7 days of purchase if unused. 

We want you to love your purchase! If there is an issue with the craftsmanship or a defect in the product, please reach out to us within 7 days of receiving your order, and we will be happy to assist with a repair or replacement.

If you come across any issues with the hardware of your leash, harness or collar in its lifetime, we are happy to replace the hardware for you. Hardware includes all metal elements of your leash, collar or harness (ie clasp, rings and screws) including plastic buckles.  Items damaged by your pet (i.e chewed, ripped or soiled) or due to misuse (used outside the products intended use, washed incorrectly) or changes in product due to wear and tear will not be considered defective. Please see our Wear, Tear and Care policy for more details. 

If your gear gets damaged that falls outside of our policy, we may be able to repair it for you on a case by case basis. Reach out to us!

Please ensure that all details such as sizing, colours, and personalization are correct before placing your order, as we cannot make changes once production has started. Videos detailing how to properly measure are provided on each product page. When in doubt, send us an email for help!

Shipping Notes and Policies 

We offer free shipping for Canadian orders over $150.

Dog People is not responsible for delayed, lost, stolen or damaged packages. Once we send your order from our shop, it is in the hands of the shipping carrier. We advise you to contact the shipping carrier directly should you have any issues with your delivery.
